Eloquii Unlimited Review

page0.JPG

If you’re like me, you’ve been wondering what it would be like to try one of these rental services. I’ve looked into Rent the Runway and Gwynnie Bee—and this is the first rental service I’ve tried. Eloquii Unlimited offere a free one-month trial, so I figured, why not?

I love getting a surprise box of clothes every other week. I could by clothes everyday if my bank account would allow it—and that’s the greatest benefit of a rental service—it’s like getting new clothes every other week without the true cost, much more sustainable, AND with laundry service included. Also, you’re not permanently taking up more and more space in your closet (guilty of an overflowing closet much? 👋) It’s all the joy of wearing new clothes without the burdens of closet-space and over-spending.

So, I thought I’d share with y’all my honest thoughts and walk you through what the experience with Eloquii Unlimited has been like for me. This post isn’t sponsored or gifted and all opinions are my own.

How it Works:

You pay a monthly subscription ($85.52) to rent 4 Eloquii items at a time. When you sign up, you add items to your virtual closet—they suggest to keep a minimum of 24 items in your closet to guarantee fast boxes. They’ll select 4 items out of your closet to send you based on what’s available in your size at that time. You can prioritize the items you want the most and they’ll do their best to send one of those to you in each box. The box comes with a giant return bag—to return: put them in the bag and drop it at the post office. Eloquii Unlimited’s team professionally cleans each item before sending it back out again.

Downsides:

  • Not everything on Eloquii.com is available with Eloquii Unlimited.

  • Sometimes what you want is no longer available in your size.

  • No guarantees you’ll get that one item that you really really want, unless you pay more.

  • A lot of what’s available on Eloquii Unlimited is no longer in stock on Eloquii.com.

  • If you want a look that’s offered as separates (I.e. matching top + bottom), you’re unlikely to get them in the same box.

  • Going to the Post Office is not my favorite thing.

Upsides:

  • At $85.52/month I’m spending about $10/item (2 boxes/8 items per month) to wear to work, take photos in, enjoy life in, and then send it back without worrying about a single thing. Items come clean, pressed, and ready to wear.

  • Get to try things I would never have bought for myself.

  • There’s no limit to how many times you can return and get a new box within a month.

  • If you want to keep/purchase the item, you can for a discounted price.

  • They make new items available weekly to add to your closet.

  • If you get an item in your box that is damaged in anyway, they’ll allow you to immediately return it alone, keep the rest to send back with your next box, begin and send a new box for you, and discount the next month’s fee.

  • Renting is a helpful step toward sustainable fashion, which isn’t as easy to come by in Plus Sizes.

The Clothes:

In my first box, I got 4 outerwear pieces—which wasn’t my favorite thing for October in Texas. Since that box though, the items have been very balanced each time. Here’s some of what I’ve tried so far:

What do you think? Is a rental service something you have tried before? Is it something you’d like to try? Did you enjoy this post? Let me know in the comments, I’d love to hear from you!
